The VARIOGRAV is a machine for large Area Laser Engraving of 2D and 3D pictures inside transparent materials as glass or plastic. The technical concept is based on the design of VARIOPLOT. The Tool Head is a diode pumped ND YAG Laser with a Galvo Head which deflects the laser beam in a high speed and focuses it inside the surface of the transparent material. Optionally the laser tool head can be exchanged against a Milling Head. This Tool Head gives addition possibility of Milling Surfaces of plastic.

Process
The ND YAG Laser Beam is generated in a diode pumped module and guided to the mirrors of an integrated galvo head. The mirrors deflect the beam in x and y direction at high speed and focuses the laser beam inside the transparent material. Image dots are generated inside the transparent material. The combination of the high speed deflection in x and y axis for short distances and the movement of the machine axis in x y and z direction for large distances creates large scale 2D or 3D pictures inside the transparent material. Illumination of the transparent material increases the visual brilliance of the engraved pictures.
RSAS
Remote Service and Analysing System RSAS gives the advantage of immediate support via the internet connection. Varioplotter is delivered also with a camera System which provides the possibility of visual inspection over big distances.
